The conflict is at the base of Nanni Balestrini's research, which has always focused on an analysis of language, its ambivalence and ambiguity, both in a more strictly literary context and in a most openly one related to verbal visual research. In this intervention I propose a reflection on this aspect of the artist's work, devoting particular attention to some performances that Balestrini designed and produced during the sixties, such as the intervention at Teatro delle mostre, in the spring of 1968.
